So I look like a banker, do I? The irony! The picture on my passport came out better than they usually do on these sort of documents. People have commented to me before that I usually look much like one of the old Soviet leaders, but I've never seen the resemblance myself.
You are right - in a way I have been deceiving you about phone numbers. Presently, there is a good chance that my phone calls are being tapped by the local law enforcement, due to my involvement with certain Socialist revolutionary groups. This is why my email account is with Yahoo - it makes it much more difficult to trace. I fear that any phone contact would upset our plans, and put us both in jeopardy. Certainly I have no wish to come to the attention of the Enchiladas, and I'm sure you feel the same. If you can think of an alternative, please let me know.
I hope this does not give you a negative impression of me. From your email, you strike me as a vibrant man, a man of action, and one I am proud to call a comrade.
Now that this whole business of revolutionaries is out in the open, maybe this is a good time to broach the subject with you. Perhaps you would be interested in joining our cause? I know you don't think of yourself as a Marxist, but perhaps over time you will come around to this point of view. Anyway, we can speak about this later.
