The Boys Rough Up Mrs. Buttersworth When Brandon and Tyler were 2 and 4, I could hear them in my bedroom talking. The door was barely open, so I snuck up on them. Brandon was holding Mrs. Buttersworth at arm's length. Tyler was standing behind him, glaring at her menancingly over his shoulder. Brandon demands of her - "Come on, talk, we know you can talk!" As he slaps her across the face! My junior mafia.
Why the Boys Weren't Allowed to Have Sit-n-Spins One day when the boys were 3 and 5, they were being really quiet (don't most stories start like this??). I went back to their room to see what they were up to. I see Brandon standing up, directing Tyler to spin the sit and spin as fast as he can with his hand while Brandon held maple syrup over it, letting it land on the sit and spin and spinning out over the walls and carpet! I told them no and took away the syrup and cleaned up the mess. The final straw came when I caught them doing it AGAIN with chocolate syrup. No more sit and spin!

Tyler John - Language Patrol Now I wasn't there and I am doing this from memory... Ty and Brandon went fishing with their Grandma Carol and Grandpa Steve some years ago. I was pretty stringent on word usage at home. Words like 'stupid' and 'hate' were on the list of bad words cause I didn't like the way kids over-use them. So...they are out in the middle of the lake and the engine goes on the boat. Steve starts, "Well, Jesus C*****!" Tyler's mouth forms a big 'O', and he says, "Haaaa! Grandpa! Jesus Christ is a bad word, my momma says it's a bad word!" Grandpa replies, "This stupid thing..." Tyler exclaims, "Haaaa! Grandpa! Stupid is a bad word, my momma says it's a bad word!" Steve says, "I know Ty, I just hate it when..." Tyler: "Haaaa! Grandp..." Carol promptly put her hand over Ty's mouth. hahahaha
