Classes

The class system was implemented to work with the revised karma charts that allows for more flexibility when adventuring than the karma chart in the Player’s Book.  For more on this, see the Revised Karma Rules.

IDEAL SUPER HERO

This type of super hero seeks to be our hero seeks to be the ideal hero who tries to never commit any crime and will do everything in their capacity to avoid the death of someone, even the arch-enemy.  They abhor killing and will never willing commit such an act.   They stand for a cause for which he or she would gladly die and will do everything they can within reason to protect it.

Examples: Captain America, Spider-Man, Mister Fantastic

 

ROUGE SUPER HERO

This class of hero is for the most part the same as the ideal super hero.  However, unlike the ideal super hero, they will go beyond the law to protect their cause and, while abhorring killing, are not afraid to do so if absolutely necessary.  They also have no qualms about taking of the head of their Arch Enemy, no matter what the circumstances are. 

Examples: Cyclops, Thing, Moon Knight

 

PROTECTOR

This class of heroes is also similar to the ideal super hero.  However, they feel their cause is to protect innocents from harm.  When an innocent person is in danger, they act quickly and forcefully to end the situation.  While they abhor killing, they are not afraid to do so if the enemy is dangerous.  However, they will not kill an unarmed foe and will not initiate any killing.  They only kill when they have been attacked and only if the enemy is still able to do harm. 

Examples: Archangel, Colossus

 

VIGILANTE

This super hero is out to end crime one and for all.  They are willing to break the law, but will never do anything to harm an innocent person.  They however, have no qualms about killing any sort of criminal, and usually do so with out any second thought.  Many of these classes have specific criminal groups that they are targeting, but will step in to stop any other crime they find going on. 

Examples: Punisher, Cloak and Dagger

 

SPECIAL AGENT

These heroes are the ones who work for some sort of agency that is usually involved in covert activities of some sort.  They are there to usually hold up the law, but usually put the rules of their agency first and every other law second.  Their job is to carry out their mission and usually to destroy enemy operatives.  Thus, they have no qualms about killing, especially if the task they are assigned requires it.

Examples: Nick Fury, Silver Sable, James Bond
