2. JURISDICTION
See the Avengers Charter and By-Laws.
3. PURPOSE
The purpose of this team was to be a fast reaction force to all threats to the Earth. This was to be done under the law at all times. Every active member of this team was a full time member of this force. They were to be ready at all times to receive and respond to any threat world wide. The reservists were not full time members and only needed to respond when called upon for duty. The inactive reserves were only called upon in dire situations in which their presence was what stood between the success and failure of the mission.
4. FUTURE ACTIONS
Unknown. With the perilous state of the current Avengers chapter in Los Angeles, it is not expected that this organization will start up again with official sanctioning of the Avengers.
5. INTER-TEAM COORDINATION
Though each branch team of the Avengers had autonomy within the boundaries of their appointed protectorate, no team was considered superior to any other Avengers team. In essence, with the most recent changes to the Charter, the Avengers were all one team.
With the Avengers as one unified force, each Avengers team could have call on other team members whose specific talents might have helped. It was a constant reminder to all members that they could call on any fellow Avengers in times of need.
The Avengers also had contact with numerous groups across the globe. These included the likes of the Fantastic Four, Alpha Flight and Excalibur. These teams were considered their closes allies and could have be called upon in times of needs just like any other Avengers team.
There were also numerous groups that the Avengers communicate with and occasionally work with. Most of them were various governmental organizations, such as Strike Force, X-Factor and the German "Blitzkrieg" team. Other "not-so-official" groups are the X-Men, Squadron Supreme, New Warriors and so on.
6. CURRENT STATUS
As of right now, the Midwest chapter of the Avengers is defunct and is not expected to remobelize anytime in the near future. If they do restart in an official Avenger capacity, their past actions have denoted them as a non-threat.
