Earth, 2004
North America- Suffering from a shortage of superhero groups after the disbanding or wiping out of many of the prominent ones in the late 1990’s, the United States has begun to see a flurry of new, rather unorthodox hero groups starting. This began in California with the mercenary group, Underground Pacific Superbeings (UPS), and followed shortly thereafter by the reestablishment of the Avengers, this time based out of the Mile High Tower in Los Angeles. A private organization was established in Chicago, calling themselves KAOS, under the employment of industrial billionaire Justin Watson. The government officially unveiled its previously secret group of superhuman soldiers called Strike Force. All of this is coupled with the still existing X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force, New Warriors and Thunderbolts, as well as various individuals. This should slow down the previously rampant super villain activity in the United States and Canada.
South America- Nothing new is happening here.
Africa- Despite petitions to have them removed by the Kenyan government, the Visionaries still occupy their UN supplied base, attempting to protect earth from all that attack, both from with in and from abroad.
Europe- The communist government of Russia was toppled in the bloody "New Years Revolution" of 2001/2002. This has caused troubles for everyone as they now have to deal with the renegade Soviet Super Soldiers a large. The German government responded to this by forming a counterterrorist/supervillain team called Blitzkrieg.
Asia- Nothing new is happening here.
Australia- Nothing new is happening here.
Savage Land- Signs of life are beginning to show again after a giant nuclear blast destroyed the whole area in 1999.
