Life together has been as hard as hell
But the lessons I've had, have taught me well
Life is too short and content I must be
Not waiting for something better to see.

I love him I know, but this wall's really high
If I keep it this way, very lonely I'll die
I'm breaking it down slowly, brick after brick
But it's incredibly hard, for this wall's really thick.

I hope he see's, the opening I've made
And helps me destroy the foundations I've laid
He's got to know that behind this wall
Is love unconditional, standing so tall.

Past hurts and pain, have locked it away
But it's always been there, just unsure of the way
When he gets to my heart, he will hear it rejoice
It will constantly sing, coming out in my voice.

My Angel has helped me rejoice in my life
And made me believe I can be good as a wife
My healing inside, no longer so slow
Now the life with my man , will blossom and grow.
