My hurt and anger building up, I can only sit and curse

Our passions are so different, what's in our hearts collide
But because we've signed the paper, to the rules we must abide

But even though we're fading, there's a bond we can't ignore
We have two very precious gifts, to nurture and adore
Everything we do in life, and everything they see
Will be their mould for adulthood, so what we are, they'll be.

Marriage is something held by love, and that they must believe
So the love we had and now have lost, together lets retrieve
They must also see devotion, but it must be without regret
'Cause any vibe they pick up now, for years they won't forget.

If you're not prepared to sacrifice, your freedom and your past
Then I'm afraid I have to say, that this marriage will die fast
For every time your friends come first, a bit of me steps back
I'm tired of fighting for a strength in you, that obviously you lack.

I know I've said this all before, you're probably bored to tears
But I've opened up and let you in and told you all my fears
Please read this very carefully and take it all to heart
Because how we are and how we live is tearing me apart.

You've also got to understand, it will take a bit of time
