Sunday

You carried me
on your back
as if I were as light as a feather
Never uttering a negative word:
instead humming smiling compositions, yet unwritten
& the decibels float with sparkling optimism
with lifted spirits so crisp. STRENGTH.

only
one
pair
of footprints in the sand

If the book falls
on the page
our hearts supposedly know
we just know
as this unique feeling surges through
dusty love
(Too many rose coloured spectacles)- may I assume?

My intentions are childlike in innocence-
sometimes sad in hopelessness
LONELY; each letter expands
to maximum size, all sides & spaces
in my head (fully booked- words on waiting list)
My soul so echoingly empty,
yet filled to capacity with silent loneliness
SECURED EXPANSION

Alone A lone being
Alone being desperate
breathlessly craving for air
just to call for help
& support for me to breath
even a whisper
Please

I hand over my weapons;
take my sly stubbornness
take my ammunition of arrogance
take my vigilant vindictiveness
take my malicious manipulation
take my sordid secrets
take my diabolical deceit
take my licentious lies
take my treacherous theft
take my ignorant impulsiveness
take my Satanic temper
Burn the deviant thoughts, words & deeds
Shoot the enemy (discharged without honour)
I surrender. I surrender.

The wind stole my path I was given.
Will you come & fetch me?
