Mirrors

Who's face do you see,
when in the mirror you stare ?
Where would you rather be,
and why are you not there ?

Do you recognize your eyes ?
Mirrors to your soul.
Do they tell lies -
has life taken it's toll ?

Do you see all you are,
and all you could be ?
For all hurt, there is a scar,
to be touched, tenderly.

Do you know -
do you care ?
Do you let it show,
everytime you don't share ?

Who's eyes do you see,
when in the mirror you stare?
Do you see all you could be ?
Do you even care?
