Forever I will cry

My body is beaten, my soul's in despair
My heart is now empty, too hurt to repair
The lonely space gets bigger each day
As further and further she pulls him away.

The decision I made for is life to be whole
Is destroying my life, slowly killing my soul
At night my body cries out for my son
Then it withers and weeps, for the war she has won.

He needs to be home, where his heart truly beats
All my efforts to reach him, become burning defeats
She's got a hold, a power so strong
She'll use it to kill me, though she knows it is wrong.

If only I'd known how she would use him at will
To control me and beat me and punish me still
She pushes him forward, using him as her vice
Knowing I'll bend, for I cannot pay her price.

How I wish I could save him from a childhood like mine
To make his heart sing and to make his sun shine
And quietly each night I pray to the moon
That the evil she's churning, turns back on her soon.
