For your children you only want the best,
And at school they must be better than the rest.
All this pressure we give to them,
Is it from this that all their troubles stem.
Now it's the wedding till death do us part,
And with them goes a piece of your heart.
Grandchildren they come we find more love to give,
And our kids they say please let me live.
Along comes old age will I be alone,
What now, you say the old age home.
A knock on the door a smile on the face,
It's the kids who say listen "come live at my place."
And there you live until you surely die.
The children cry the children sigh.
The children say with a tear on their face,
Maybe they have gone to a better place.
