Near the bottom of this page are pictures of Nick after his accident in Aghanistan in 2003
His humvee hit an IED and got blown up. Both of his hands were skin grafted on the top and in the bottom picture you can see the whole top layer of skin is gone. As bad as these pictures look he has made a very remarkable recovery which should be no surprisie for the very remarkable young man that Nick is. His accident was on July 26th 2004. He was taken to Germany and then a few days later taken to Brooks Army Medical Center in San Antonio TX where the doctors performed there spectacular skills on Nick.
