Carlos Hernandez Tribute

This my friends, is Carlos Hernandez. Since coming into the majors in 2001, he has posted a 8-6 career record with a 3.94 ERA. He used to throw 95+ MPH but then was sidelined the entire 2003 season due to surgery. In 2004, he was sent to the Triple A New Orleans Zephyrs where he built up his velocity close to where it used to be. Although he can't throw the heat as well, this left hander has improved his control immensely and with his 12-6 curveball could be a staple in the majors for quite a while. In 2004, he is 0-1 with a 8.10 ERA and 7 strikeouts in 10 innings pitched. By far my favorite pitcher ever, this man will help anchor an amazing Astros rotation for years to come. His next start is 8/20 against the Cubs.
