In 1986 I met a Korean missionary who taught me Tae-Kwon-Do. He gave
me a Bible. Up to that time I had not thought about God or religion.
I started to read the Bible alongside the Koran, researching and comparing
these two books. I realised that I was a sinner and that only Jesus
Christ could save me.
In 1987 I accepted him as my saviour. Up to that time I had not met
any Turkish believers because there were so few. After this decision
my life changed. At the beginning my family did not like my belief
but one year later my older brother gave his life to Jesus, and a year later
my sister also believed.
I was baptised in 1988 and joined the Ankara Salvation Church. Since
then I have been worshipping and serving with that church as a Sunday school
teacher, worship leader and elder.
I love God and I want to be like Jesus. I want him to continue transforming
me, and my vision is to serve him by bringing people to know him and planting
churches.
