MAPLE FROSTED APPLE PIE

 

 

2 WICK’S FROZEN PIE CRUSTS-THAWED

1-1/2 CUPS CORNFLAKES CEREAL

6 CUPS PEELED, THINLY SLICED APPLES

1 CUP SUGAR

1 TSP CINNAMON

1 EGG WHITE BEATEN

 

GLAZE:

 

˝ CUP POWDERED SUGAR

3 TBSP MAPLE FLAVORED SYRUP

 

HEAT OVEN TO 350.  SPRINKLE CORN FLAKES OVER BOTTOM CRUST.  TOP WITH APPLES, SPRINKLE WITH  CINNAMON SUGAR MIXTURE.  TAKE TOP CRUST OUT OF PIE TIN AND PRESS OUT FLAT.  PUT ON TOP OF APPLES AND CRIMP THE EDGES TOGETHER.  CUP SEVERAL SLITS ON TOP AND BRUSH WITH BEATEN EGG WHITE.  BAKE FOR 45-55 MINUTES  LET COOL FOR A FEW MINUTES AFTER REMOVED FROM OVEN AND THEN TOP WITH ABOVE GLAZE MIXTURE.
