| In Lab 2 we made "sea water" out of baking soda, magnesium, potassium,salt and regular water. This is how we measured it out; Salt 7 grams, Potassium .1 grams, Magnesium .3 grams and Baking Soda .05 grams. Our calculations for density gave us 1.03, the density in Tank 1 was 1.02 and in Tank 2 it was 1.01. So we came very close. In conclusion our version "sea water" came really close to real sea water.The equation that we used to find density was d=m/v. By. Rafael Encinas |
