After many years working for a university and then a mental health agency in administrative and accounting roles, I decided to return to school to finally let my right-side brain run rampant! I have since obtained two Associate degrees—the first in Communications and New Media Studies, and the second in Liberal Studies with an Art concentraion. I also have an Associate's degree in Business Administration from my earlier education. While having three Associate Degrees is all well and good, it certainly doesn't equal a Master's Degree or even a Bachelor's degree. Due to the passion I feel for design, I decided to purusue a B.A. in Graphic Arts and Web Design. I am currently attending school and anticipate completing my degree in the Spring 2018.

I have been employed part-time for the past two years at a private school in Portland, Maine. Initially my work was confined to assisting with a database conversion by providing quality assurance of accurate data transfers. As time went on, my responsibilities changed and I began creating database reports and forms. In 2016, I accepted an additional part-time position at the school as a Communications Associate. My responsibilities are varied: web content management; photography; publishing a weekly newsletter to parents and staff; Google analytics; creation of Google forms and surveys; image retouching; and, researching and recommending software.
During this time I have done a small amount of freelance design work. Thus far, I have created a logo for a risk assurance start-up; developed a website for a local sandwich shop; and provided photo retouching for a small business.

I hope to utilize my design skills by promoting a brand via well-designed graphic and web products based upon solid research and design principles.
