After losing the presidential election, Lien, at the urge of Soong, orchestrated several massive demonstrations against Presient Chen, claiming frauds in the election. These demonstrations have led to violence and lawlessness. Some Taiwanese KMT members warned that KMT will lose support by the people for these lawless demonstrations.
