Hi folks! This is my personal website that I'm using to help myself to learn html and java,
but I also want to put up local breaking news, politics, and most important to me, the straight scoop on whether or not we'll have to relocate further North because South Louisiana is washing away from beneath us.
If you have any suggestions about links or content to include here please email me at [email protected].
Thanks and all the best to you and yours! MB

BTNEP had a public meeting on the Nicholls campus in Thibodaux today about the reintroduction of water into Bayou Lafourche from the Mississippi River, and thru a combination of my truck being down and my ride not showing, I missed it.
I did however send an email with comments and questions. I hope it was in time to be presented there. I'll be posting it when I get my blog started and linked to this page, or maybe I'll just paste it onto a word program and link it directly.

I heard recently that people are starting to wonder if New Orleans will become the next Atlantis. Wow. I've been calling it that since Katrina.

Martin Babin's Home Page
I started building my site and I'm still playing with it. Please check back when I figure more ways to mess with it!

Hi Folks! I'm Martin and this is my personal site. In the coming weeks and months I plan to add lots more stuff here, including pics of some of the models who do lingerie shows at "The Queen Bee" in Raceland where I manage scheduling the shows. I'll also be adding other assorted stuff (galleries, maps, wetlands issues) as the whim strikes, so stay tuned, same bat time, same bat channel!
scowling Martin!!!
Not drunk is he who from the floor
Can rise alone, and drink still more;
But drunk is he who prostrate lies,
Without the power to drink or rise.

This is a cool comic strip that picks on politics.

smiling Martin!!!

I read in the Comet "Lafourche administration officials authorized the deployment of inflatable dams along a mile-and-a-half stretch of Bayou l'Eau Bleu near the Valentine Bridge" "Bayou l'Eau Bleu"? Hmmm. Never heard of it, but there must be a lot of people living there, right? Right?

This is a quote from Carl Chauvin's blog at
thepublicsrighttoknow.blogspot.com
"We spent $5.3 million last September and October to rent portable
levees, placed between Valentine and Larose on the West side, to
assure this cow and others like it, especially those owned by Ray Cheramie,
never have to endure the fate of this poor bovine."
