Creamed Onions
8 medium white onions, peeled and halved 8
50mL flour 4 tbsp
45mL water 3 tbsp
250mL whipping cream 1 cup
50mL butter 4 tbsp
2mL salt 1/2 tsp
1mL cayenne pepper 1/4 tsp

Directions
Parboil onions in about a cup of water until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain and set aside.
Preheat oven to 325F/160C.

Dissolve flour in water in a small mixing bowl. Add cream and combine. Add butter, salt and cayenne pepper. Stir to blend.

Arrange onions in a baking dish, pour cream over and bake for 10 minutes or until bubbly. Serve hot.

Serves 6-8.
