Another brilliant game of high quality youth rugby saw the cubs get their first point of the season. Dean Muir opened with a try from acting half, Shane Walton converting from touch. Stuart Baxter then pounced on a Walton kick, and the Cubs trailed 12-10 at the break. Two brilliant tries from man of the match Mike Hastings looked like getting the cubs the points but a late breakaway enabled the home side to draw level.
