Albion were looking to recover from last week's close loss by revenging an earlier season defeat against Knottingley. Spurred on by a vociferous away support Knottingley were pressuring Albion early on but some telling defence led by Richard Dibbins, Ronnie Hodgson, Andy Feather and Matt Steel soon had the away team rocking.

Albion respected their possession and built good field position which had the Knottingley defence in disarray and gave Feather the space to dance through the gaps and score a fine individual try.

Jason Battle was introduced from the bench and had an immediate impact on the game. From the midfield he used his excellent pace and strength to beat numerous tackles and break clear to score. Lister added one of the conversions to make it 10 - 0 at half time.

Going into the second half Albion continued to play some open football with Steel and Feather at the fore. Nicky Lister went over and was followed by Battle who scored another excellent individual effort and this in effect killed the game off where Knottingley were concerned.

Good break again by Feather and Alistair Beaumont released James Robinson to finish a good passage of play and score the try. Lister added all three conversions to close the scoring at 28 - 0.

Feather, Battle and Steel caught the eye in a good victory for the home side.
