Thoughts for Hard Times

I know that Christ will work all things for my good; even what looks like evil can be transformed by His sovereign power. Therefore I can trust Him when life is bleak.

I know that He is faithful, even to the unfaithful; He has promised that He would never leave me nor forsake me. Therefore I know I am always welcome in my Fathers house.

I know that He is committed to my holiness and sanctification; if I dont understand my pain, I know two things for sure:

  1. I will grow more like Christ; and
  2. I will be able to use my pain to comfort someone else someday.

And I know that He never promised me an easy road but He did promise to be with me in the valleys, in the hardships, in the pain and in the sorrow. Therefore, I have hope, not in my bright or sunny circumstances, but in the Living Christ who died to save me and now lives for me.

Hallelujah.
