Psalm 16:11
You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.

Joy.

It is found in the Lord.

Outside of the Lord, joy comes from idols. Oh, there are good things that God gives us to enjoy. But when we enjoy them too much, when they take God�s place in our heart, then we have an idol.

True joy is found in the presence of God. Anyone can attest to that after walking away from a wonderful time of worship or prayer. A person who has just communed with the Lord glows. Joy radiates from their face. They are in awe of the holy God who came to save sinners, sinners like them, and they are overjoyed to be in His presence. He�s shown us the path of life.

He holds eternal pleasures in His hands. He possesses the things that truly matter. When we make Him our delight, He gives us the desire of our heart; more of Himself. He shows us the treasure that He holds in His hands; lasting joy.

Draw near to God. Praise His holy name. Find peace for your soul. In Him our joy is made complete.
