Scrub, Scrub, Scrub!

Psalm 51:7
Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow.

Psalm 51:10
Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me.

I feel like lately Im on the kitchen floor of my heart, trying to scrub away the nasty sin stains I see on the linoleum. I have a scrub brush in my little hand, and I am able to actually work at cleaning off the grime! But to get rid of it, I have to use a special solvent called "The Blood of Jesus."

It fights all my tough stains. It disinfects and sanitizes. It kills germs on impact. Its the only thing that works.

But I have to see this whole process of cleaning from both sides. The bottle of disinfecting cleaner is not going to do me any good unless I unscrew the cap and poor it on the floor. Otherwise, when Im trying to clean Im really only pushing dirt around. I could also pour the cleaner on the floor, but unless I use my own effort, the kitchen is still going to be a mess. The stuffs not going to work for me.

Together, we get the job done.

Nothing but the Blood of Jesus!
