Here are the lyrics to some of the Unreleased songs that Roy wrote/co-wrote He would almost certainly have demo'd them on tape but not necessarily recorded to commercial standard, instead giving them to others to record instead.
There exists some 30 cds at Orbison Productions made up of unreleased material from Roy's 32 year career. They were shown to fans in December 1998 who visited the Orbison Building in Nashville and several of these songs were played to them by staff.
If we conservatively estimate just 10 songs per cd then we have 300 songs (about 50% of Roy's career unheard by his faithful following) Wouldn't it be a nice gesture by the Estate to get 'stuck-in' and do something positive to get these songs released to the fans. With today's technology any unfinished or damaged tape can be made good and there would be an army of well known artistes who would give their back teeth for a chance to 'duet' on a Roy Orbison Record. Equally top producers and sound engineers would be competing for the chance to finish off potential hits with the right equipment to do the job. It can be done if there is the will to do it......
Some of these songs were published in the 1970's Roy Orbison Songbook
If time permits I may produce some midi files to give some idea
of what they sound like.

This is only a list of songs recorded specifically for MGM by
Roy to fullfill his part of the recording agreement. He did record
others during this time which he did not offer to MGM.
There are "dozens" of other unreleased songs from the period
74-88 and also 30-40 recordings still unreleased from 60-65, not
to mention Sun recordings.
There is the remaning songs from the proposed second album to
follow Regeneration
(only three of the songs have so far been released.).
