Marshall Books
Below you will find a lot of books roughly classified as to subject. Many are long out of print and do qualify as collectors' items. They are priced significantly lower then you will find on the sites which specialize in rare books. These are rare, that isn't to say that they are GOOD books--some are and some are not. Most current books are half the cover price. I'll be adding books almost every day for a while. There will be quite a lot of art books, botany books, herb books, history, and so on. New additions appear in red.
I have looked at used prices for most of the books on this list and my prices are generally in accord with them, most frequently lower. Yes, there may be a couple you can find on amazon.com for $0.01. There is some sort of secret there and evidently I'm not qualified to know it. It wouldn't pay me to sell books at that price. If the only book you are buying is priced lower somewhere else, by all means buy it there. I explain below why you save money when you are ordering more then one.
There is one real advantage to buying books from me: I don't charge the postage till you put your whole order together. Then I weigh the books and charge you the actual postage plus package costs (which are generally very low). It makes ordering a little more complicated then when you buy used books from amazon.com but it will probably end up costing you less. |

That's also why I haven't put a shopping cart on this site. With a shopping cart the shipping has to be figured on each item and then is set. You pay what it would cost to ship the items separately even though it generally costs a lot less then that when you ship a number in one package.

You'll find a link several places on this page which takes you to a form into which you enter your name and email and the title of each of the books you want to buy. I'll figure out the shipping costs and send you an email with a paypal button in the email so you can send me the money and I can send you the books. All books are shipped media mail which just about always takes less then a week and is a great deal less expensive. There will be a place on your order form to request priority mail if you are in a hurry.

The easiest way for you to place your order is to open a second browser window and go to the Order Form. The page is set up so that clicking on Order Form automatically opens a new window. It's possible that you have a popup blocker which will prevent this. In such a case, if you hold down the Shift or Control key when you click the link, the form will open in a new window. With the windows conveniently placed it won't be difficult for you to copy the book titles and paste them in the order form.
