SLIGHT RETURN

When you're down, in the town
People can't help not being around
You use to run with casuals in '88
Even then excuses were for you being late

Monday morning starting slow
The tea is cold and you've got to go
The bills are in and you've got to earn
But with the rest, it's a slight return

And if you find loneliness never sleeps
You see that by its side, it always keeps
A glass of water and an aspirin
There's something there put the love back into

But if you don't know time to ask the dust
Your brother's asking you who to trust
The sun is shining and the weather's fine
Your sister saying "please stop crying"

And who's proposing
We make another go
I'm juxtaposing
Going nowhere slow
And who's suggesting
That I waste my time
And if I'm moaning
You can pass me by
