The List of Films That I Am Impatient to See!
I love movies.....not the current trash that appears in theaters (There are a few exceptions.....) ....but the classic films from the 30's, 40's and 50's. (and some from decades after.)

I am looking forward to seeing several films in the second half of 2005, mostly because they feature actors and actresses whose work I have enjoyed immensely in the past or are films based on books or musicals that are simply amazing IMHO.

I present the official list of those films that I truly am waiting with bated breath to see......

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
(I love the books. 'Nuff said.)

Rent
(I cannot get some of the songs from the musical out of my head....especially "Seasons of Love")

Memoirs of a Geisha
( I like Ziyi and Michelle...no matter what film they happen to be in....the fact that I like the book that this film is based on makes it even more appealing that it normally would be otherwise.)

The Producers
( I never had the chance to see this musical, nor did I get a chance to see Rent for that matter...but like Rent, this musical/film has an interesting premise. Thank G-d for interesting, non-recycled themes!)

Shopgirl
(It is great that Claire Danes is finally getting some decent roles again. I know that she'll make a wonderful Mirabelle.)

Walk the Line
(Reese Witherspoon is one of the most underrated actresses in Hollywood. Gosh, she should have been nominated for Election  and many of the other movies that she's been in.
OSCAR, CAN YOU HEAR ME???? PLEASE REWARD REESE WITH A GOLD STATUETTE NEXT GO ROUND, OK???? THANK YOU! Whew, that should do it. Obviously, I'm going to see this movie to see the brilliance of Reese Witherspoon shine upon the silver screen once again. Joaquin Phoenix is just an added benefit. Also the story of June Carter Cash and Johnny Cash is a very interesting one.)
I hope that you are also gearing up for the season where many movies come to the theaters in neighborhoods across the country and around the world. Happy viewing to all, and may the best film take top honors at the Oscars and Golden Globes next winter!
