| OH, JENNY WREN, YOU'RE BACK AGAIN Oh, Jenny Wren, you're back again, you've come to renew your lease with me. To pick where is best to build your nest, pray, which container will it be? The petunia one gets morning sun, lots of cover, with lots of room. But ruby throats ,with bright green coats, visit often when it is in bloom. The morning glory , same sad story, sometimes hummingbirds battle for hours. For the treats there, they fight mid-air, to claim the nectared flowers. The window box, with purple phlox, and white daisies, is long and wide. Mulched with moss, laid clear across, and it's nicely sheltered , well inside. So Jenny Wren, welcome again, take your time and choose one wisely. And not a peep, my rent's dirt cheap, all yours for a song and company. copyright 2001 Roland Ricker |
