      O CHRIST ASCENDED

       O Christ,
       how splendid the day,
       when You ascended,
       heavenward,
       fully resurrected Christ,
       in all Your glory,
       in a cloud that day.
       O Blessed Saviour,
       to plead on our behalf,
       sitting to the right
       of Our Father.
       O, the promise
       of the Holy Spirit,
       to light our way,
       to help our blind eyes see
       With flowing grace
       to ready us and to steady us.
       O Christ,
       when You come again,
       You will judge us all,
        and the worthy among us,
        will join You
        Forever!
        O that day You ascended,
        I can see the splendor,
        and I can hear the angel voices,
        a mighty host of angels sing,
        as You rise,
        heavenward,
        in a cloud,
        O Blessed Saviour!
