Nov. 19, 2007: Finally updated main page with info on Godfathers REUNION!

OCT 25, 2006: KRIS DOLLIMORE is releasing a solo album on November 1, 2006. A bluesy affair, it is titled "02/01/78" - the date when Kris got his first guitar for his 12th birthiday. You can buy 02/01/78 at Kris' website , where you can also listen to three tracks. Also, Peter Coyne has been tapped as Kris' manager, so you know they are going to bash down some doors with this one!

December 2, 2003: Update on THE GERMANS from their website: "Apologies for the lack of a CD as yet, which has been held up as we try to finish of the recording started in August. This is due to be completed in the next month for release in January/February 2004. In the meantime the band have been busy in the rehearsal studio writing new material, with the next set of live dates due in the new year once the single is out. Our first newsletter will be out before the end of the year, so all those who have e-mailed, around 300 of you now, will be on the list to receive one." Looking forward to that single . . . Also check out the new Germans messageboard to help keep you up to date. ALSO, be sure to check out MIKE GIBSON'S site, which now has some streaming mp3s from the City Farm album. Here's a good review of the CD.
October 2003: Whatever happened to Mike Gibson? Well, I've gotten news that Mike, a.k.a. beloved Godfathers guitarist (1985-1992), will be releasing a solo album called City Farm in January 2004, distributed through Shellshock. His future website is at www.mike-gibson.com. Now, as Mike was credited on many 'Fathers tunes (e.g., believe in yourself, can't try harder), I'm sure we'll hear some good stuff on this--but think more acoustic guitars and thoughtful lyrics than rawk a la Peter Coyne. Speaking of Peter, I haven't heard much about The Germans in the last few months, anyone know what's up with them?--I want that demo CD!
May 2003: THE GERMANS ARE COMING!
Press Release!!!! Spring 2003 sees the birth of a brand new British Rock�N�Roll group - The Germans. Former Damned drummer and punk rock legend Rat Scabies is joined in the Germans by ex-Godfathers guitarist Kris Dollimore and ex-Godfathers vocalist Peter Coyne and Mark Wrangham formerly of the Love Family on bass. The Germans will play their debut British concerts in May:

Leeds, New Roscoe on Thursday 8th May
Birmingham, Market Tavern, Digbeth on Saturday 10th May
Alan McGee�s Death Disco at Notting Hill Arts Club, London on Wednesday 21st May.

Admission is free at Death Disco before 8pm and �5 thereafter. More live dates will be announced shortly and The Germans have recently been recording demos for their debut release.

Feb. 27, 2002: News on George Mazur! www.thealarm.com reports that George Mazur will be special guest drummer for Dave Sharp (ex-Alarm) in Asbury Park, New Jersey, USA on April 13.
Feb. 14, 2002: We all miss the Godfathers. The first Love is Dead single was released fifteen years ago!
Dec. 18, 2001: Not much new to report. Paul Ronney (from Afterlife lineup) has a new mp3 of his band up at his Q-Sling site. I've also updated the singles-rarities section of the discography with some more cover pics. And E-bay continues to be a good site for finding Godfathers material for sale -- The vinyl for Texas Chainsaw Massacre is up there this week. Happy holidays.

June 14, 2000: Find some shots of the Schwung 2000 show here [dead link]. It says Buzzcocks & Godfathers on that page, but only the bottom left one is tagged as a Godfathers picture, though the bottom right one looks like it could be Peter?
June 1, 2000: The Godfathers headline Sat. June 24 at: Verdur Rock Festival (poster), Theatre De Verdure, Citadelle de Namur, Avenue Maria D'Artois, Belgium. They go on at 11:30pm.
