In summer, when the grass is thick,
if Mother has the time,
She shows me with her pencil how a poet makes a rhyme,
And often she is sweet enough to choose a leafy nook,
Where I cuddle up so closely when she reads the Fairy-book.
In winter when the corn's
asleep, and birds are not in song.
And crocuses and violets have been away too long,
Dear Mother puts her thimble by in
answer to my look,
And I cuddle up so closely when she reads the Fairy-book.
And Mother tells the servants that of course they must contrive
To manage all the househod things from four till half-past five,
For we really cannot suffer interrruption from the cook,
When we cuddle close together with the happy Fairy-book.

I would like you to meet my sixth grandchild
~Cody Taylor Collins~
He came into this world on a hot Aug.day
But not just any day,it was his mom's,
my daughters birthday Aug.24th,
The same day twenty six years earlier,
I gave birth to Charlene A.K.A. Charmagic
So this day was filled with pride and joy,
When my eyes first
saw you,
This little baby boy with hair of blond and eyes of blue
It was instant love I felt for you
Watching you grow day by day has filled
my heart with happiness and joy,
Now watching you play baseball and save the game.
With a smile from ear to ear as you ran the bases.
with me cheering till I lose my voice.
the way you make me laugh at your crazy jokes,
and sing a song in that funny voice.
I want you to know how much
happiness you have brought to me,
how your prayers and love helped to heal me.
Nina loves you very much,
as the years go by I know you'll grow into a wonderful man.

My seventh grandchild
came on a very nice day in October,
His birth was a scheduled C-section
So I went to spend the night before with my daughter
When I ask if there was anything special she wanted to do that night,
she said yes let's go to a movie,
but when she told me she wanted to go see Friday The 13th,
I laughed,how many people would want to go see
a movie where people get sliced up,
the night before she was to get cut up?
Then the morning of the 24th came
and I kissed her as
they wheeled her away.
Her oldest son and I said a prayer.
The next thing I saw was my son-in-law
walking down the hall carring this bundle of joy
I looked at his face and said it's a boy!
The rest of the family said "no" he would not be so happy
they were told it was a girl for the last six months.
I knew that smile ment it was a boy!
then he handed me this six pound,
little boy with red hair and blue eyes
I felt as though I was back in time
because he looked so much like my son Tim
the first time I saw him he was a real joy
and very loved little
boy.
Through the years I have watched you go through
the days you had to look just like Billy Ray,and heard achey breaky
heart so many times I even heard it when I slept,
as you have grown some things have not changed
Your love for baseball
and the dreams of one day pitching for the pro's
The way that you always love completely
and always keep the faith
Every Sunday you went to church and
ask
them to pray for your nina,
Jordan you will never know
how much you mean to me,
It is your love and faith that makes
this world a better place
Never lose your ability to love
and help others have faith.
