"A Time To Pray"

Our days are full as we journey long
Anticipating in the freedom of choice
Joy lumbers in our presence of clean waters,
air, and comfort
Thoughts betray sexual intimacies as
we cover our nakedness

Tears are shed on tragedies reflect our griefs selfishly
Hiding behind the safety of our homes we wait
Looking for news in new found hope of peace
Embracing lost religions we search our souls

Finding reasons to peer upward at the Creator
Linking ourselves to Gods we claim we serve
Asking for new revelations,
searching for timely answers
Clinging to salvation and resurrection

The seasonal clock changes
as the days are shortened...
Hearts yearn in despair,
tears dim our eyes, and fears pound our heads
Lips tremble with aching utterance

A Time To Pray!
