What's In Marley's Mind

Not so much with news today. One big story though is that KAT, a popular torrent site that was shut down recently, now has a GoFundMe page, which has dissapeared for unknown reasons.

"Yes!" I think to myself, "I think I'm skipping a day of WIMM! If there is not a single good story to cover, maybe I am luck-" Then I suddenly find something worth noting on WIMM. "Awww djsjksdnjkvndjn". Anyway, right then, here is just a SINGLE story to cover. Nickelodeon is working on a TV movie based on the popular Rocko's Modern Life series that aired in the 90s (and still does via The Splat (too bad I do not have cable)).

E-Cigs are now no different from regular cigs. An anti-Microsoft guy is offering a reward of over 200K USD for anyone that proves Microsoft stole code from CP/M. And Apple is going to do another overhaul for their MacBook Pro line.

Before I begin here, I would like to congrat the USA women's gymnastics for winning gold at the Olympics. Anyways, on to the relevant news. Yahoo announced a new service called View, which is in association with Hulu. Nintendo decided to drop prices for some of their stuff as part of some Back-To-School deals (essentially, for those that start school in September). And speaking of Nintendo; Finally, the aforementioned (surprise surprise) has taken down ANOTHER fan made remake of a Nintendo game, this time a remake of Metriod II.

I did not originally intend to edit this because it would cause me stress and all. But then these two stories came to mind. First, Nintendo takes down the Nintendo Power pages from Internet Archive. Naturally, this wouldn't be too surprising as Nintendo seems to hate their own fans. Just last year, Nintendo took down a fan made HD remake of Super Mario 64, and has constantly been pushing out updates to their Nintendo 3DS software to restrict fan made games for being played (out of fear of piracy of course, stuck in the past eh Nintendo?). Another thing that has happened is that Garry Newman(the creator of popular sandbox game Garry's Mod)'s twitter account has been suspended. For what reason? No one knows.
