Here at UConn

Here you find some pictures of the University of Connecticut (UConn) and places around here. For more pictures I suggest checking out the official UConn homepage or having a look at Georg Bindl's homepage.

This is Andreas from Germany, sitting in his wheelchair. He returned to Germany by the end of 1999. The rooms in the grad dorms are really small, something about 10 square meters. Too small for me, and definitely too small for handicapped people.
Finally - I got a picture of Annie and her illegal pet. I hope you like it, Kitsch.
My room in the grad dorms as you see it when entering the door. An incredible 10 square meters for living and studying. I bought the computer shortly after I arrived here.
My room in the grad dorms as seen from the bed. The TV set and the fridge are only borrowed.
Yes, you actually can have parties in the grad dorm's kitchen - it's illegal but possible. Pretty funny night, especially the last hour... you can see Maria, Adam, Gail, Guido and Georg.
On the left, that's Markus, Guido, Maria, and me. We were invited by Maria for Thanksgiving (thanks again!). I will never forget how good a pumpkin pie can be.
It's a crêpe party! Maria Fernandes (with -s not -z!) eating some delicious crêpe prepared by Aurélie and Claire.
The baptism of Stephan Kellner. From left to right: Fr. Richard, Stephan, Danijela and Imad.
The official party after the our basketball team won the UCAA Women's National Championship. No bonfire this time - too bad!
A picture of one of the French Connection parties. This one's showing Sonja, a friend of Alexia, who was visiting UConn for two weeks.
This picture was taken on Inga's party. Inga already left in April because she wanted to do the summer semester in Germany.
Some of these people look more trashed than they actually were. Susanne, you look marvellous!
Inga at her own party - thanks Nabil for the Captain Morgan.
McKee Campbell alias Friedrich der Grosse. No more comments.
Malgorzata alias Maggie and Theresa alias Treese.
We are getting ready for the Graduation ceremony of Adam. You really need some alcohol to stand this boring procedure. From left to right: Markus, Alexia, Adam and me.
Students waiting to enter the Gampel Pavilion, our basketball arena. The Graduation ceremony was held in there.
The Graduation ceremony. I don't know the exact number, but there were probably more than 10,000 people in the Gampel Pavilion.
These are the people from the Grad Hike organized by Fr. Richard on the Saturday of the infamous Spring Weekend. We were really lucky with the weather, the forecast did not look too promising.
