Niagara Falls

I have been in Niagara Falls (both US and Canadian side), Toronto and Chicago for Spring Break. By the end of May I went to see Niagara Falls again, this time with Guido, his mother, his grandmother and his brother.

First off, here are some postcards:

The Horseshoe Falls on the Canadian side, about 50m high and more than 600m wide.
The small American Falls (50m height, 320m width) in the foreground.
At night, the falls are illuminated from the Canadian side.

Here are my own pictures:

The first time I went to Niagara Falls was during Spring Break. Here you can see all of us on the beach of one of the Great Lakes. On the horizon we have been able to see some of the skyscrapers of Toronto.
In the first night we lost each other. We were very happy when meeting again on the next day about noon in the Skylon tower. This is from left to right: Sandra, Guido, Alexia, John, Georg, and me.
In the middle of March, there was still some snow.
At night, the falls are illuminated. The colors change every few minutes.
This is Fort Niagara on the US side. A typical tourist trap. We did not get trapped there (we did not pay to get inside).
This is also on the US side. You can walk on the Niagara river although the police was not very pleased.
The second time I went to Niagara Falls, this time with Guido's family. Here you can see Guido's brother, Guido, his grandmother and his mother.
This time we took the boat ride on the Maid of the Mist. It's nice and very wet.
This was the last picture I could take with my camera. It is on the Maid of the Mist boat. Then it died because of the water. Fortunately it could be fixed. Thanks Maggie!
To give you an impression about the size of the falls have a look at this picture. This is only the small right part of the American Falls. Yes, these are people standing on top of the fall.
