| It is with sadness that we announce that Kelsey passed away on May 28, 2005. We have many fond memories of her. She was a wonderful companion and we love her and miss her immensely. My name was Kelsey. I was a 14-year-old West Highland White Terrier. Often my breed is called "Westie" for short. Mark and Tom adopted me from the Hennepin County Humane Society on June 2, 1991. My fur was long then and I resembled a dust mop. The first few days after they took me home, I didn't bark at all. I didn't want them to take me back to the Humane Society! Over the years, I settled into a real "dog's life". Once, the guys brought home a creature resembling a black silky squirrel. I barked and barked at the vermin and couldn't figure out why they invited this animal into our home. After a week, the "vermin" was gone. Later, I heard Tom and Mark call it a "cat". I hated cats! When I was four, they enrolled me in school, but the teacher was a very unpleasant woman. I think some of the other dogs agreed, since a lot of them peed on her floor. One of my favorite things to do was visit the veterinarians. They poked at me and petted me, but they always gave me lots of attention (and treats, too). I enjoyed the "animal nature" shows on TV. I detested TV commercials; my least favorite was one for "National Car Rental". Especially when they clapped and say "lets go!!". Please e-mail Mark or Tom with your questions or comments at [email protected].
