| ACADEMY RULES
1. Every person entering the DOJO will bow on entry and exit as a mark of respect. 2. Footwear will be worn too and from the side of the mat. No outdoor footwear will be allowed on the mat area. 3. Cleanliness, Students will endeavour to keep their finger and toe nails at a minimum length. This will help to reduce the risk of injury. Try to keep clean. Gi,s will also remain clean and tidy. 4. Mat Etiquette will be observed at all times. I.e. Instructors or senior students responsible for teaching will be shown the same respect as the Chief Instructor. They will have the right to carry out disciplining procedures. I.e. Exercises. This will be monitored by the Chief Instructor or appointed senior grade. 5. The mat will not be left by any student whether junior or senior without the permission of the senior grade on the mat. Reason for leaving will be required due to safety reasons. 6. Grievances, should any one feel uncomfortable with any situation. It would be preferred that it is discussed direct with the Chief Instructor, in order to reduce bad feelings. 7. Grading�s will be taken approximately every 6 months but may be reduced or increased at the discretion of the Chief Instructor. 8. Students wishing to train in other clubs or associations are more than welcome. However it is recommended that this be discussed with the Chief Instructor. Styles and syllabuses may conflict; this may cause friction at a later date. 9. Food or drink will not be permitted within two metres of the mat area. This may cause a slip hazard when drinks are spilt. 10. Junior Instructors below the age of 16 will be referred to as Sampai. Junior instructors over the age of 16 and senior black belts will be referred to as Sensei Sokei Mark Smith |
