1. All good gifts from God - Jas 1:17.

2. Commanded & to be done cheerfully - IICo 9:7.

3. From first fruits - Ex 23:19.

5. O.T. tithes no longer in effect - Gen 14:20, 28:22, Lev 27:30, Mal 3:10, Lk 18:12, IIChr 31:5.

6. For benevolent works - IJn 3:17.

7. On the first day of the week - ICo 16:1-2.

8. Also giving spiritually:  Mt 23:23.

Does giving "spiritually" absolve you from contributing money?  Explain.

What does the church have a right or an obligation for which to use the money?  Give examples.

What does the individual have a right or an obligation for which to use the money?  Give examples.

43. The Lord’s Supper/Communion

1. “Upon first day of the week” - Ac 20, (Compare to the Passover, Ex Ch. 11).

The physical manifestation has become a spiritual one.

See also Mt 26:26-28, Jn 6:48-59, ICo 11:23-29.

Why is this sometimes called communion?

What does communion mean?  Is this an accurate word?

44. Prayer

1. Lord’s Prayer, a model - Mt 6:9-13, Lk. 11:2-4.

2. To be done with right motives - Jas 4:3.

3. Without ceasing - ITh 5:17.

4. Of the righteous is powerful - Jas 5:16.

Why do we not recite the Lord's Prayer?

How do we pray without ceasing; we have to work and sleep, right?
