| Entries into the 2005 Spread the Word 50 word short stories Competition �Punch Drunk Love� I am in ecstasy, in agony. Despite punch drunk love, you bewitch and sober me, long for me, want for me, capture my lust... complete me. I wake in splendour, in the ecstatic mood I hope he craves. I turn onto my back and take him finally, happy in love. �Millionaire� I�m not sure. The presenter tells me to take my time. I have called my mother for the first time in two months and she cannot help me. The leather seat of the chair is dripping with sweat and it�s a million or bust... I have it... again, not sure. �Father�s Punishment� They were their most vunerable there, often waking in the night, bent over the man's knee and screaming with excruciating innocence. He took a belt. The cold, harsh leather scarring their backs forever. Callous tears in the eyes of his young daughters, instilling an unmistakable sense of rage and introversy. �Bookshop Child Spawn Out of Control� The elfen child smacks his forehead in a continous motion with the audiobook CD and she laughs at how cute he can be. The youngster�s regularity has cracked the plasitc box of the cover and the blood seeps from his pores. The broken plastic fills his hand. He laughs uncontrollably. |
