Reflective Writing
(Metacognition)

The purpose of reflective writing is to develop important skills in the area of critical thinking. Writers engage in this activity to promote self-improvement and to contemplate what worked well and what didn't about a particular experience. As you compose your reflective essays, keep in mind some of the following questions:

Self-reflections will be worked on in class. Ms. Weinberger and I will conduct writing conferences regarding this essay.

Self-reflections will be entered into our e-folios during a trip to the computer lab this Monday.

Paragraph one of your reflective writing should simply explain the nature and purpose of your lesson.
Paragraph two and beyond should tackle some of the complex issues discussed above.
