Reflective Writing
(Metacognition)
The
purpose of reflective writing is to develop important skills in the area of critical thinking. Writers engage in this activity to
promote self-improvement and to contemplate what worked
well and what didn't about a particular experience. As you compose your
reflective essays, keep in mind some of the following questions:
Self-reflections will be worked on in class. Ms. Weinberger and I will conduct writing conferences regarding this essay.
Self-reflections will be entered into our e-folios during a trip to the computer lab this Monday.
Paragraph one of your reflective writing should
simply explain the nature and purpose of your lesson.
Paragraph two and beyond should tackle some of the complex issues discussed
above.
