Book Talk Presentations
Each group will be responsible for conducting a "book talk" on the
appointed item. Groups will use the visual aid as a talking point to lead a 3-5
minute discussion of the selection. Groups may choose to focus on a specific
talking point, such as theme, or may wish to focus on a point of interest in the
piece of literature. If groups are short on items for which to discuss, they may
select from the general list below:
At any rate, each group will be graded on a collaborative effort and the group's level of interaction with the text. Students are encouraged to ask appropriate questions of the audience. The audience is encouraged to appropriately respond.
"Orpheus the Great"
"Annabel Lee"
"Eldorado"
"The Highwayman"
"Mother in Mannville"
