Monday 5/21/01 SWBAT: complete a pre-writing activity; read a short story; proofread & edit sentences
Procedure

1. Distribute homework to students "Proofreading Exercises A & B" and read over carefully. (5-7 minutes)   

2. Students will copy chart on p. 230 of text (EoL) into notebooks and complete the chart independently. (10 minutes)

3. Students will begin reading "Bargain" on p. 231. (15 minutes)

Tuesday 5/22/01

SWBAT: re-familiarize themselves with the parts of persuasive writing 

Procedure 1. Use chart of p. 254 of (EoW) -or- use overhead transparencies p. 112 of Audio-Visual Binder

2. Read p. 253; 256; & "A Writer's Model" p. 260  

3. Place "Framework for Persuasive Writing" on the board
