| Procedure | 1. Have students copy down their homework from
the board into their assignment pads. Pass out the vocabulary handouts
and read the directions with them. Have the students put the worksheet
in their binders
2. Hand out journal entry sheet. Have students compose a journal entry for chapter 21 quietly for 5-10 minutes 3. Students are to read chapter 22. Students are to complete a prediction chart for chapter 22. 4. If there is extra time, the students can start their homework |

Hand out study guide for chapter 23; read over questions to the students 4. Have the students silently read chapter 23 ; if you want, you can read chapter 23 to the students; please do not pick students to read; they will sit quietly and listen to you; I prefer to read half the chapter to the students and then have them read on their own |
