The Giver
1. Think about how color or the absence of color was
portrayed in the theatrical presentation of The Giver today.
How did the actors demonstrate that color was not seen?
If you were the director of the play, how would you have shown the
absence of color? 3. Did the portrayals of the characters in the play (i.e. Jonas, The Giver, Asher, Jonas’s parents) match the perception you had of them while reading the book? If not, why?
