During our first year, we did little more than plant a few trees and some flowers. But in 2000 we created a landscape plan for the site, and have been working to the plan ever since.
I got to buy new lawn equipment, dig up large areas of earth, and lay in stone borders.
Kim became great friends with our local lawn and garden centers and an expert on plants that will eventually make their way to our home. Kim gets all the credit for the colors, the plants that were chosen, etc.
My contribution is digging holes where holes need to be dug, keeping weeds to a minimum, and trying to keep the lawn nice and green.
