Jackie and I spent this past weekend in Mexia...birthplace to Anna Nicole Smith and also the locale of Uncle Bobby and Aunt Lynn's lake house.  We spent the weekend there with Ryan and Renae...so relaxing and such a great weekend.  Thanks guys.

Ok...so over a week has passed since the race and the marathon euphoria has begun to give way to a revived set of training....Boston....go....no go......GO GO GO! I am fired up and why not....its been eight years since I have run Boston and so much has hapened in between.  I left my job on Wall Street, went to business school, took a job with Exxon, moved to Texas, my Mom got sick and amazingly recovered, met my awesome wife, married into a great family, got my dawg (yeah barley), witnessed another miracle (go Ryleigh) and then we got pregnant.  So many amazing things, so much texture to life....I feel like running Boston celebrates all that has happened and all that lies ahead.  I look fondly on the past 8 years and like a kid in a candy store I look to the future as Jackie and I begin to expand our family.  So Boston will be a celebration....of so many things.  Over the next couple of weeks I will spend sometime revamping this site and broadening its scope.  It undoubtedly include updates on Ryleigh and my Boston prep....but also it will start to update our journey in our first pregnancy.  Please pray that our baby grows strong inside Jackie and that she feels good and strong through out the pregnancy.

One final note allow me to say my first hello to Henry Dallas Arledge (born today)...congrats Collin & Meredith!!!
