2005                   Completed Graduate Certificate in Road Safety from Queensland University of Technology.
Qualified to compile and provide advice, training, advocacy and assistance to both government and non government individuals and institutions. Traffic psychology a major component of this graduate program.

2001           Northern Territory University Certificate III in Road Transport (Motor Vehicle Driving Instruction)
Nationally recognised driving instructor certification. Units include road law, driver training program and assessment and evaluation of learner and experienced drivers in individual and group sessions. Qualified to teach heavy rigid trucks and all cars and motorcycles.

2000                                     Murdoch University, Bachelor of Education Studies (road safety) 
The degree program encompassed both practical and theoretical skills applicable for designing and implementing practical education and training programs for individuals and institutions relating to transport and general driver education in all vehicle operations and specialisations.
Qualified to lecture in tertiary institutions.
Skilled in training instructors in program development and implementation related to all aspects of driver training and assessment.

1999                                                                    Murdoch University, Bachelor of Arts (Tourism)
Degree program focused on developing an intimate knowledge of Australian oriented tourism, sociology, geography, history, governmental policy and gave the skills necessary to professionally consult with and advise both organisations and individual operators.
Qualified to teach tour operators environment interpretation skills, sustainable tourism and ethical and cultural perspectives pertaining to the Australian context.

1999                                 South Metropolitan College of T.A.F.E. Diploma in Human Services The eight units of this near completed Diploma course comprised of administration, budgeting and further development of advocacy and support skills required for working with people in sensitive situations. 75% of the Diploma course altogether was completed and the final 25% is subject to RPL (recognition of prior learning)

Career
Bus -Truck � Taxi Driver � Driving Instructor                                                           

Trucks
Many years of driving trucks, beginning in Kalgoorlie with West Brothers Transport in 1979 operating Mercedes 1418 semis and International 1830 flattop rigid trucks to outback communities and delivering general and frozen freight in Kalgoorlie.
Carting grain and fertilisers in Esperance region in the 1980�s.
More recently contract truck driving delivery work with general and specialised freight using Scania, Iveco and Isuzu trucks to destinations throughout Perth and regional centres of WA.
Experienced in frozen, refrigerated, specialised and general goods cartage.
Trained in chain of responsibility and fatigue management legislation issues.
Operated Mack R 600�s, Scania�s, White Road Boss and Road Commander, a variety of Mercedes, Renault, and International including Iveco, and Ford Louisville etc with various motor/gearbox configurations.

Bus
Worked for Transperth as a route service Bus Driver, completed 6 years of service, mainly night shift, in this often dangerous and demanding role.
Operating charter, tour, school and route service buses and coaches in Perth metropolitan and country areas of WA over nine years. Bus tours with a private contractor specialising in built and natural landscape tours, interpreting the natural environment and wilderness regions in WA.
Based in Esperance in 1994, driving a large school bus on one of Australia's longest country school bus routes. Daily supervision and disciplining of up to 70 primary and secondary children Maintenance of school bus as required.

Driving Instructor 1997 to present
Recently) teaching HR truck students with Andrew�s Driving School in Perth WA, using a Mercedes 2232 prime mover with a 15 speed Roadranger gearbox.
Managing, organising and scheduling practical driving lessons and tests for individuals in cars, trucks and on motorcycles for over 20 years.
Teaching learner drivers in WA and Tasmania (cars and trucks).
Understanding national road rules and applying them in a practical way with learner drivers.
Marketing and promoting business and having an ethical and discerning approach in dealing with driving students from all ages, nationalities and abilities.

Taxi
Operated taxis on part and full time basis in Esperance, Mandurah, Launceston and Devonport. Driving both radio and computer controlled cabs and working all shifts.

Mail Contractor, Australia Post                                 1993
Acquired skills in working to deadlines, teamwork and an understanding of Australia Post. Driving my own van, sorting and delivering mail and parcels to various addresses.

High School Cleaner and Gardener                                                                                                                                    
In control of entire gymnasium cleaning including wood panel flooring, offices, toilet areas and maintenance equipment and facilities in these areas.
Responsible for school gardens and turf including reticulation, mowing and planting and pruning programs and the associated machinery and hothouse/greenhouse maintenance and running in the school environment.

Assistant Manager - fast foods                                                          1984 to 1989
Running various fast food outlets including Chicken Treat, Big Rooster, Chicken World in country and Perth areas utilising management and practices associated with this high-pressure industry. Rostering staff, banking, bookkeeping, cooking a variety of foods, and customer problem handling were routine aspects of the job.

2 years doing various farm jobs in Esperance and Mount Barker regions,
3 months work training with Elders GM,
6 months as a storeman with Compaire in Kalgoorlie,
6 months working with the Main Roads Department in WA operating steel wheeled and vibrating drum rollers and working in a road patching gang.
2 years working as a tyre fitter for Bell Tyres, Beaurepaires and McLeod Tyres in Esperance.
6 months working with the local shire council in Esperance on revegetation schemes and working on the rubbish tip site. Operating machinery including Bobcats and loaders.
18 months as a builder�s labourer in Esperance.
