| More about us: Mark Sullens Racing is a "Bracket Race Team" from Jefferson City, Missouri and they have been racing all over the Midwest since 1989, winning the first race we competed in. Since then we have had several more wins, including two 4th place finishes in the track championships.One of which qualified us to go to the 2004 NHRA Division 5 Finals in Topeka, KS. Followed by a trip in 2005 NHRA Division 5 race in Brainard MN, where we finished 12th out of 140+ cars in our class. The car is a 1976 Chevy Chevette, there are several reasons we chose this car, but the biggest reasons are because it is an eye catcher and attention getter which is a plus when you want to get your sponsors name out there!. Everyone knows someone that at some point and time had owned a Chevette, but they never thought of it as a 9 second, 136 mph, Performance Car. |

So whats new? Well its winter time and we havent been racing, but we sure have been doing alot of testing! The rising cost of fuel has led us to find an alternitive race fuel.....E-85! As some of you may know, for the last 4 years, I have been trying to develop a Carburetor that will work with E-85 Ethanol that can be used for racing as well as street use. I have devloped a carb that works, and now I'm fine tuning it, I have made many changes and have made more test runs down the track than I have rounds of competition trying to get this E-85 stuff figured out. I soon realized I couldnt make it on my own, I just did not have the financial resources or parts to complete the job. I called several Carburetor Companies and asked if they were interested in hearing what I had developed. Lucky for me there was one company that took the time to listen and that believed in me and what I had accomplished. So together we started compairing notes and testing of a NEW E-85 Carburetor. Thank You Barry Grant and Demon Carburetion! My car runs better, quicker, and faster, for less money than ever before! |
